Kukula Named Assistant Coach for Men's and Women's Golf

SALEM, Ore. -- Former Willamette University golfer Ryan Kukula ('15) has returned to Willamette as the assistant coach for the Bearcats in men's and women's golf. Kukula will work with Head Coach Patrick Daugherty in all apsects of coaching and managing the two teams.

Kukula competed at Willamette from 2012-13 season through 2014-15. He earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2013-14 and receiving All-West Region recognition in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

While competing for the Bearscats, Kuklula was named Northwest Conference Player of the Year in 2012-13 and was chosen First Team All-NWC three times (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15). He helped Willamette finish second in the overall NWC standings as a senior.

During his career, Kukula won eight individual tournament titles. He recorded a career adjusted stroke average of 74.77 over 77 rounds. His stroke average in 2014-15 was 73.94, including an outstanding average of 71.67 during the fall season.

Kukula's low round as a collegiate golfer was a 64 for 6-under par at the Quail Valley Golf Course on the second day of the Pacific Fall Opener in 2014. He graduated from Willamette in the spring of 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Economics.
