SALEM, Ore. -- The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board has been elected at Willamette University for the 2023-24 athletic year. Each fall and spring at Willamette, the SAAC Executive Board features six student-athletes who lead the SAAC during meetings and oversee projects throughout the fall, winter, and spring athletic seasons. Co-presidents for 2023-24 will be Ryan Johns (Sr., OL, Las Vegas, NV/Liberty HS) from the football team and Ashley Collins (Sr., P, Chino Hills, CA/Chino Hills HS) from the women's basketball team. It will be Johns' second year as a co-president. Johns and Collins are also serving on the Northwest Conference SAAC Executive Board.

The secretary of the Willamette SAAC Executive Board for 2023-24 will be Jordyn Johnson (Sr., P, Winslow, AZ/Winslow HS) from softball. Reagan Wyatt (Sr., Rush, CO) from the cheerleading team will be the communications officer and William LaDuca (So., Salem, OR/South Salem HS) from men's swimming will serve as the service and philanthropy leader. Tenley Grant (Jr., Longview, WA/Kelso HS) from women's track and field will be the at-large member on the Executive Board.

"I'm excited for SAAC to be led by this incredible group of six Bearcats," Willamette Director of Swimming and SAAC Advisor Brent Summers said. "Ryan and Ashley have experience being a part of the Executive Board, having served last year, and I know that Jordan, Reagan, Will, and Tenley will bring great energy and passion to the board next year. This group will do a tremendous job leading and helping SAAC to put on many engaging events and educational opportunities that will benefit our student-athletes, Willamette, and the greater Salem community."

Note: Year listed for each Executive Board member is their academic year at the start of the 2023 Fall Semester.
