Jake Stout was a four-time All-America selection with three in cross country and one in track & field. A four-time participant in the NCAA Division III cross country championships, he was fifth in 2001, 35th in 2002, and ninth in 2003. At the 2004 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Stout placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, helping Willamette tie for third place in the team standings, and was named National Athlete of the Year. Stout was the 2004 Northwest Conference champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
