Robbie Wright was named All-America as a cross country runner in 1982 and 1983. At the time of his induction he ranks 8th on the Bearcats’ all-time list in the 4-mile with a time of 19:45.0. He helped Willamette win NWC team titles in 1981 and 1982. In 1981, he placed 5th at the NWC Championships and took 5th place at the NAIA District 2 Meet. In 1982, he earned All-America honors by placing 15th at the NAIA National Championships. He was 8th in the NWC that season and also placed 8th at the District Meet. In 1983, he placed 11th at the NAIA National Championships with a time of 25:17 after winning the NAIA District 2 individual title. He was 2nd in the NWC in 1983. He ranks 8th on Willamette’s all-time list in the 10,000-meter run at 31:35.14. Wright was an NAIA District 2 Scholar-Athlete in 1984.
