Ken Smith, MS, ATC, is the assistant athletics director, sports medicine at Willamette University. Smith, formerly an athletic trainer with PT Northwest, started working full-time at Willamette as an assistant athletic trainer in 2007. He was named head athletic trainer in 2013 and was pomoted to his current title in 2016. He works with all of Willamette's athletic teams.

Smith graduated magna cum laude from Southern Oregon University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He received a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences with an Athletic Training concentration from the University of Arizona in 1985.

He was an assistant athletic trainer at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., in 1985-86 and was employed as an assistant athletic trainer at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces from 1986-89. He returned to Oregon in 1989 as the head football athletic trainer and an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Oregon. Smith worked with the Ducks until 1998, when he became an assistant athletic trainer with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League until May, 2005.
