SALEM, Ore. -- The non-conference baseball game between Willamette University and George Fox University scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 in Newberg, Oregon, has been postponed due to the weather and field conditions. A make-up date for the game has not been determined.

Willamette is 12-12 on the season and owns a 7-8 record in the Northwest Conference. The Bearcats won two of three NWC games against George Fox on Feb. 27 and Feb. 28. The Bruins are 15-9 overall and 8-4 in the NWC.

Last weekend, Willamette swept a three-game series from NWC rival Lewis & Clark College. WU was victorious 10-3 and 2-1 in 11 innings on Saturday, March 19, before completing the series with a 7-0 win on Sunday, March 20.

The game originally slated for Tuesday would have provided both teams with a non-conference game against an NCAA Division III opponent during Spring Break and before conference play resumes this weekend. The Bearcats will host Linfield College in a three-game NWC series on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26.

WU and Linfield will play two games on Friday and one game on Saturday. Action will get underway at 12 p.m. (PDT) each day.
