Jimmy Meuel is in his second year as an assistant coach for the Willamette University baseball team in 2023-24. He will be the assistant pitching coach for the Bearcats. Meuel has 13 years of collegiate coaching experience from all three levels of the NCAA.

In NCAA Division I, Meuel has coached at San Jose State University, the University of San Francisco, and the University of California, Davis. He served as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at San Francisco State University (DII), Menlo College (NAIA), Lewis & Clark College (DIII), and the Academy of Art University (Calif., DIII). While coaching, he has contributed to two conference titles and 25 school records, with his teams have set records for wins in a season three times. He has coaches 54 players who were drafted or signed professional contracts, including three major league players.

Meuel has worked as the head coach and the assistant program director for Headfirst Baseball Academy in Northern California. He co-leads management of the program, which is the largest baseball academy in California, with over 600 players from eight years old to 18 years old. He developed Headfirst Baseball's college advising program.

As a student-athlete at Willamette, Meuel played baseball in 2006, 2007, and 2008. At the time, he set Willamette's NCAA Division III record for pitching appearances with 18 in 2007. He was a student representative on the Trustee Working Group on Athletics. Meuel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History at Willamette in 2008.
