Football Assistant Coach Josh Scott Receives Crystal Apple

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University assistant football coach Josh Scott, who also teaches mathematics at McNary High School, has been selected as one of 12 winners of the Crystal Apple Award, presented each year to top teachers in the Salem-Keizer School District. Scott also is a Willamette alum, who graduated in 1999 and played football during the 1996-98 seasons.

As a coach with the Willamette football team, Scott works with the Bearcat wide receivers and is the special teams coach. This year, WU's special team players have blocked six punts (and scored touchdowns on three blocked punt returns). The 'Cats also have scored one touchdown each on a punt return and a kickoff return.

Josh Scott has received a Crystal Apple Award.
