Malley Earns NWC Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week

Averages 31.5 Yards per Kickoff Return

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University sophomore tailback Terrell Malley (Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) has been chosen Northwest Conference Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week following an outstanding performance against the University of Puget Sound on Saturday, Oct. 16. Willamette defeated the Loggers, 52-21, to improve to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the NWC.

Malley returned four kickoffs a total of 126 yards, an average of 31.5 yards per return. His returns led to a field and a pair of touchdowns. His final return was the longest at 40 yards. It also set up Malley's 39-yard touchdown run on the next play. It was his second rushing touchdown of the game.

On offense, Malley rushed for 96 yards on nine carries against the Loggers. For the season, Malley is averaging 10.1 yards per rush, with a team-leading 456 yards on 45 carries. He leads the Bearcats with six rushing touchdowns.

The Bearcats will play at home again on Saturday, Oct. 23, when they will take on Menlo College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (PDT) at McCulloch Stadium.

Terrell Malley returned four kickoffs for 126 yards and also rushed nine times for 96 yards in WU's win over Puget Sound.
