Rosselli is Chosen as NWC Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University sophomore inside linebacker Jaden Rosselli (Santa Rosa, CA/Santa Rosa HS) has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the Bearcat's 57-28 win over previously undefeated Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Rosselli led all players with 13 total tackles. He made 5 solo tackles and contributed 8 assisted tackles. He intercepted a pass and had one tackle for a 5-yard loss.

He returned the interception 34 yards to the Lewis & Clark 31-yard line in the third quarter. His interception set up a touchdown by the Bearcats two plays later.

Rosselli has earned 49 tackles so far this season to rank fifth on Willamette's defensive chart. He is tied for second on the team with 5 pass break-ups.

Willamette will conclude the season on Saturday, Nov. 12, when the Bearcats host Pacific Lutheran University in a Northwest Conference game. Kickoff at McCulloch Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. (PST).

Prior to the Saturday's game, the Bearcats will honor members of Willamette's 1941 Pearl Harbor football team. In addition, the 2011 seniors will be recognized for their contributions over the past four seasons.
