July 31, 2013SALEM, ORE. �?? After a highly successful 2012 campaign in which the Bearcats finished with an overall record of 8-2 (4-2 in NWC), two returning members of the Willamette University football team have been named as USA College Football Division III Preseason All-Americans. -
Seven Bearcats are Named to Hampshire Honor Society

A total of seven Willamette University football players have been chosen for the seventh annual class of the Hampshire Honor Society, sponsored by the National Football Foundation. The Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football players from all divisions who are seniors and have maintained at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average during their collegiate careers.

Bearcats Shut Out Loggers, 55-0, as Offense Gains 572 Yards
November 10, 2012SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University defense forced three turnovers and the Bearcat offense amassed 572 yards in a 55-0 shutout victory over the University of Puget Sound at McCulloch Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 10. It was Willamette's first shutout since a 44-0 rout against the University of La Verne on Sept. 27, 2008.

With the victory, Willamette improved to 7-2 on the season, including 3-2 in the NWC.

November 03, 2012FOREST GROVE, ORE. -- Sophomore running back Dylan Jones (Santa Maria, CA/Ernest Righetti HS) scored for Willamette University on a 1-yard run with 27 seconds remaining, as the Bearcats rallied past Pacific University for a 35-31 Northwest Conference win on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Bearcats drove 76 yards on 10 plays for the winning score on a drive that began with 2:26 left.

Linfield Breaks Open Tie Game in Third Quarter, Defeats Bearcats, 45-10
October 27, 2012McMINNVILLE, ORE. -- Willamette University battled archrival Linfield College to a 10-10 tie in the the first half, but the Wildcats broke open the game with three quick scores midway through the third quarter, and went on to defeat the Bearcats, 45-10, in a Northwest Conference game at Maxwell Field.
