SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University place-kicker Cameron Coe (Fr., PK, La Puente, CA/Bishop Amat Memorial HS) has been named the Northwest Conference Football Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts against Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Coe connected on 3 of 3 extra points and went 1 of 1 on field goals against the Boxers. His 37-yard field goal was a career long.
Willamette rallied from a 23-3 deficit at hafltime to eventually take a 24-23 lead on Coe's extra point kick with 13:59 left in the game. Pacific scored its only points of the second half on a touchdown with 4:03 remaining to defeat the Bearcats, 29-24.
For the season, Coe is 10 of 10 on extra points and 5 of 6 on field goals.
The Bearcats return to action with a home game against Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, Oct. 31 at McCulloch Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. (PDT).
