SALEM, Ore. -- Benjamin Jahn (Sr./Jr., Juneau, AK/Thunder Mountain HS), a defensive end from Willamette University, has been chosen for the D3football.com Team of the Week for games played on Saturday, Sept. 30 because of his outstanding efforts versus Lewis & Clark College.

Jahn earned 10 unassisted tackles and three assisted tackles for 13 total tackles. He was credited with 6.0 tackles for lost (18 yards lost), including 1.5 quarterback sacks (11 yards lost). His statistics were particularly impressive for a defensive lineman in a single game. Jahn also went 3 for 3 as the place-kicker on extra points.

"Ben had one of the most dominant defensive performances I have seen," Willamette Head Coach Glen Fowles commented. "Many defensive lineman don't get six tackles for loss in a season, and he got that in a game. Earning 13 tackles, 1.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and going perfect on PATs is a very impressive day."

The Bearcats rallied from seven-point deficits three times against L&C to tie the game but the Pioneers won 24-21 on a 33-yard field goal as time expired. Willamette will host archrival Linfield College at McCulloch Stadium as part of Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 7. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. (PDT).
