Mounts is Selected Second Team All-Northwest Conference

Averages 20.2 Points and 7.2 Rebounds per Game

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University junior wing/post Taylor Mounts has been chosen Second Team All-Northwest Conference in voting by the league's head coaches. Mounts finished the season ranked second in the NWC in both scoring and rebounding.

Mounts averaged 20.2 points per game and hauled down 7.2 rebounds per contest in 2010-11. He connected on 50% of his shots from the field (177 of 354) and hit 38 three-pointers. On defense, he led the Bearcats with 13 blocked shots.

He hit two game-winning shots for Willamette near the end of regulation. In WU's 86-84 win over Concordia University (Ore.) on Dec. 12, 2010, he sank a 3-pointer as the clock expired. Against Linfield on Feb. 5, 2011, he made a 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds left, sending Willamette to a 90-88 road victory.

He was WU's leading scorer or tied for the team scoring lead in 14 games and was the Bearcats' top rebounder 14 times. He scored in double figures in 23 of 25 games and achieved five double-doubles.

Mounts earned a career-high for scoring with 33 points against Corban University on Nov. 26, 2010. He grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Dec. 30, 2010.

In his first three seasons at Willamette, Mounts has scored 866 points and grabbed 375 rebounds. His career averages are 14.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
