BELTON, TEXAS -- Willamette University will play the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in men's basketball on Thursday, Dec. 30 in the second round of the Cru Holiday Basketball Classic at UMHB. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (PST)/7:30 p.m. (CST).
In the first round, Willamette was defeated by Texas Lutheran University, 96-95 in overtime, and Mary Hardin-Baylor downed East Texas Baptist University, 75-68. WU is 3-7 on the season, while UMHB is 7-1.

Sean Dart (So., Post, Bend, OR/Mountain View HS/Eastern Oregon Univ.) was Willamette's top scorer against Texas Lutheran with 21 points. He connected on 9 of 10 field goals and grabbed nine rebounds.
Terrell Malley (So., G, Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) tacked on 16 points for the Bearcats. He hit 5 of 10 field goals and grabbed five rebounds.
Ryan Meehan (Jr., Wing, Beaverton, OR/Beaverton HS/MSU-Billings) and Marcus Holmes (Sr., G, Seattle, WA/Garfield HS) each provided 15 points. Taylor Mounts (Jr., Wing/Post, Kailua, HI/Iolani School) finished with nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Ryan Meehan scored 15 points against Texas Lutheran. He is averaging 14.5 points per game.
