Kukula is Selected NWC Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week

Earns Medalist Honors at Pacific Invitational

SALEM, ORE. -- Ryan Kukula (So., Ocean Park, WA/Ilwaco HS) of Willamette University has been named Northwest Conference Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week after winning medalist honors at the Pacific Invitational on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10 at The Reserve Vineyards Golf Club in Aloha, Ore.

Kukula led the field of 43 golfers at the Pacific Invitational with a 36-hole score of 148. He shot a 74 in both rounds of the tournament, as he rallied from three strokes off the pace after the first day to win by one stroke in the final standings.

John-Michael Pilot of Warner Pacific College took second place at 149. Taylor Klopp from Linfield College and Joey Ziogas from Corban University tied for third place at 150.

It was Kukula's second victory of the academic year. He took first place at the NWC Fall Classic in October.

Ryan Kukula won the individual title at the Pacific Invitational. He shot a total of 148 during the two rounds of the 36-hole event.
