SALEM, Ore. -- Andrew Kibbee (So., Kenmore, WA/Bothell HS) of Willamette University has been selected as the Northwest Conference Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week after winning the individual title at the 2019 NWC Fall Classic at the Oregon Golf Association (OGA) Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13. Kibbee finished three strokes in front of the field.
Kibbee completed the 16-hole event with a score of 140. He shot a 71 in the first round and a 69 in the second round, as he moved up from sixth place into the lead. His 69 on Sunday was one of only five rounds lower than 70. Kibbee helped Willamette take third place in the team standings.
The Bearcats have completed their fall season. Willamette will be back in action during the spring semester, which will include the NWC Spring Classic and the NWC Tournament.
