SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's soccer team will battle the archrival Linfield College Wildcats at Sparks Field this evening (Sat., Oct. 8). Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. (PDT). In addition to playing the Wildcats, Willamette will be welcoming back about 30 former Bearcat men's soccer players.

The unusual 5 p.m. kickoff was chosen to allow Bearcat fans to watch both the football game at McCulloch Stadium (1:30 p.m. kickoff) and the men's soccer game afterward. The Willamette men's soccer team is currently 3-5-1 overall, 2-4-0 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield is 1-7-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the NWC.

If you can't be at Sparks Field for the game, you can follow the action with Live Stats. During the game, Live Stats provides updated statistics and a play-by-play. Please not that we rely on wireless access and that we have inconsistent connectivity at the soccer field. It is possible that Live Stats may not be working.

Alfredo Zuniga has started all nine games for the Bearcats this season.
