From their teammates

What was your most memorable moment of Patrick?

Abdul Ali: When Patty scored on senior day against Pacific at home. It was a bang of a goal, so fun to celebrate with him, too.

Phil Doherty: We were on an away trip during the season up to Tacoma, and we were staying in a hotel fairly close to a wooded area. That evening after dinner, we were kicking the soccer ball around in the parking lot, and several goats (whether they were owned by someone or wild ... who knows?) came down from the woods and walked straight through the parking lot. Patrick and I were bewildered. Patrick loves goats so this was a really funny experience ... how crazy the whole situation was.

Ryan Sato: Seeing him score on senior day

Jack Bowerman: Patty being as upbeat as possible all the time.

How has Patrick impacted you in your sport or in life?

Abdul Ali: He always has so much fun playing. He is a fantastic reminder of why we play, because it's so enjoyable. He made me fall in love with soccer that much more.

Phil Doherty: He has always pushed me to by my best on and off the pitch, and loves me like a brother, so I've always felt honored to have Patty as a teammate.

Jack Bowerman: Patty has made me a happier and more confident person overall.

What makes Patrick special?

Abdul Ali: There's no amount of words to sum it up... He's special because he's Patty!!

Jack Bowerman: Patty takes the time to give everyone he meets his immense energy.

Is there anything Patrick brought to the program that will have a lasting impact?

Abdul Ali: The funny vocabulary he uses that we all pick up on, will definitely be unique to WU men's soccer.

Jack Bowerman: No one will go as hard as he does.
