One Doubleheader will be Played on Thursday, March 17
NEWBERG, ORE. -- The four-game Northwest Conference softball series between Willamette University and George Fox University, originally scheduled for March 12-13, has been postponed due to wet grounds at GFU's Morse Field. The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader each day.
One of the doubleheaders has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 17 at Morse Field. First pitch in the opening game is set for 2 p.m. (PST). No makeup date has been chosen for the second doubleheader.
Willamette is 3-7 on the season, 3-5 in the Northwest Conference. George Fox has an overall record of 6-10. The Bruins are 1-5 in the NWC.
Mica Romero has played in all 10 games . She leads WU with seven runs and has six RBIs.
