Willamette's Doubleheader with Concordia is Rained Out

Games will Not be Rescheduled

SALEM, ORE. -- The softball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday, March 27 between Willamette University and Concordia University (Ore.) has been canceled due to the weather. The Bearcats and the Cavaliers were slated to play two games at the WU Softball Field starting at 12 p.m. (PDT), but rain has prevented the games from being played.

Willamette and Concordia will not be able to reschedule the doubleheader. Both teams will be focusing on conference play.

The Bearcats are 13-8 overall, including 12-4 in the Northwest Conference. Willamette will return to action on Saturday, March 31 with an NWC doubleheader at Pacific Lutheran University. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. (PDT) in Tacoma, Wash. Pacific Lutheran is tied with Linfield College for the NWC lead with a 14-2 conference record.

Jessica Barry has a .380 batting average this season and leads the Bearcats with 19 runs scored.
