Softball Announces Changes to Schedule against Pacific Lutheran

PARKLAND, WASH. -- The Willamette University softball team has announced changes to its schedule involving games against Northwest Conference rival Pacific Lutheran University. The changes impact all four games between the Bearcats and the Lutes.

Willamette's home doubleheader against Pacific Lutheran, set for Friday, April 3 at the WU Softball Field and originally scheduled for 12 p.m., has been changed to start at 2 p.m.(PDT). In addition, the doubleheader rained out at Pacific Lutheran on March 15 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. in Parkland, Washington.

The Bearcats, who will host both PLU and University of Puget Sound this weekend, are 7-17 on the season, 4-10 in the NWC. Pacific Lutheran is 15-11 overall, 8-6 in the NWC, while Puget Sound is 4-22 overall, 1-13 in the NWC.

Willamette's games against UPS will be played on Saturday, April 4 starting at 12 p.m. (PDT). Earlier this year, the Bearcats swept a doubleheader at Puget Sound, winning 13-7 in nine innings and 15-0 in five innings on the run rule.

Senior first baseman Heather Winslow is hitting .362 on the season. She has hit six doubles, one triple and two home runs.
