Games between Willamette and Puget Sound are Postponed until March 25

TACOMA, Wash. -- The suspended softball game between Willamette University and the University of Puget Sound from Saturday, Feb. 25 and the scheduled doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 26 have been postponed due to the weather. They have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 25, starting at 12 p.m. (PDT) at Puget Sound.

Willamette won the first game of the four-game Northwest Conference series, 11-5, on Saturday. Mallory Asaro (Sr., SS, Rocklin, CA/Rocklin HS) was 4 for 4 at the plate and hit four three-quarters of the cycle, missing only the home run. The Bearcats and the Loggers were tied at 9-9 in the second game, when it was suspended due to darkness after seven innings.

The suspended game will be completed at the start of competition when the teams meet again on March 25. The final two games of the series will be played at the conclusion of the suspended game.

Willamette is currently 1-2 on the season and 1-0 in the NWC. Puget Sound is 3-4 overall and 0-1 in the NWC.
