SALEM, Ore -- The softball doubleheader between Willamette University and Pacific University scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25 has been postponed due to the weather and will be played later in the season. No specific make-up date has been chosen.

Willamette and Pacific played a pair of one-run games on Saturday, Feb. 24 to open Northwest Conference action, but rain overnight and additional rain in the forecast for Sunday morning and afternoon prevented the second pair of games from being played. Pacific won both games on Saturday by scores of 10-9 and 5-4.

Up next on the schedule for the Bearcats is a four-game NWC series at the WU Softball Field versus Lewis & Clark College in about two weeks. The Bearcats will take on the Pioneers in two games on Saturday, March 10, followed by two games on Sunday, March 11. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. (PST) each day.
