Softball Schedule Includes Time Changes on Saturday, Make-up Games on Monday

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette Universtiy softball team will begin its four-game Northwest Conference series at Linfield College this weekend a few hours later than originally scheduled. The first game of the doubleheader on Saturday, March 17 will begin at 3 p.m. (PDT) in McMinnville, Oregon, with the second game set for about 5 p.m. The doubleheader against the Wildcats on Sunday, March 18 will start at the originally scheduled time of 12 p.m. (PDT), with the second game set for 2 p.m.

Willamette also announced that the doubleheader against Pacific University that was rained out on Feb. 25 will be made up on Monday, March 19 at the WU Softball Field. First pitch in the opening game is set for 2 p.m. (PDT), while the second game will start at approximately 4 p.m.

The Bearcats are 2-7 on the season, 2-4 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield enters this weekend's series with a 14-6 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the NWC. Pacific is 11-3 on the season, 5-1 in the NWC. The Boxers will host George Fox University in four games this weekend before playing against the Bearcats on Monday.
