SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University softball team's schedule for Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16, has been changed to move both doubleheaders to neutral-site locations with artificial turf on the infield. The changes have been made due to heavy rain in the forecast. Willamette was originally set to play a doubleheader against Warner Pacific University at the WU Softball Field on Saturday, followed by a road doubleheader at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon, on Sunday.

Willamette will now play Warner Pacific at the Tualatin High School softball field in Tualatin, Oregon, on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. (PST). The second game will be played at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Bearcats will take on Northwest Christian at the Les Schwab Sports Complex in Springfield, Oregon, with first pitch set for 2 p.m. The Bearcats and the Beacons will also play at 4 p.m.

The Bearcats lost a hard-fought game at Warner Pacific, 3-2, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, to start the season. Marykate DeLuca (Fy, C, San Diego, CA/San Diego International Studies) and Brianna Majors (Fy., 2B/SS, San Diego, CA/Catheral Catholic HS) each had three hits -- including a double -- for the Bearcats.
