Willamette Softball Games this Weekend are Moved to Stayton High School

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University softball games against Whitworth University, originally scheduled for the WU Softball Field on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 will be played at Stayton High School in Stayton, Oregon, due to the weather. Game times have not changed, with Saturday's doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. (PDT) and Sunday's twinbill set to begin at 11 a.m. Even so, game times may have to be adjusted due to developments with the weather.

The Bearcats enter the series at 13-13 on the season and 8-8 in the Northwest Conference. Whitworth is 13-10 overall, 5-6 in the NWC.

Among players with at least 26 at bats, Marykate DeLuca (Sr., C, San Diego, CA/San Diego International Studies) leads the Bearcats with a .436 batting average, a .731 slugging percentage, and 28 RBIs. She tops Willamette with 14 doubles and is tied for the team lead with three home runs. Faith Collar (So., P/UT, Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) is hitting .338 with 14 runs and 14 RBIs.

Kenna Davis (So., 3B/SS/P, Alameda, CA/Alameda HS) ranks first on the Willamette pitching staff with a 5-3 record and a 2.88 earned run average. Abigail Loomis (Fy., P/OF, Canby, OR/Canby HS) is 4-2 and has struck out 59 batters, while Jordyn Johnson (Jr., P, Winslow, AZ/Winslow HS) has recorded 43 strikeouts, and Davis has achieved 38 strikeouts.
