Swimming Meet to Feature Video Webcast

Bearcats Host Pacific on Friday Evening

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University's Northwest Conference swimming meet against Pacific University on Friday, Dec. 17 at the Willamette Natatorium will feature a Live Video Webcast on the Bearcat Network.

Willamette Athletics Communications Director Robert McKinney will be providing audio commentary for the webcast, which will feature three cameras showing most of the lanes, the finishes and the results board.

The webcast will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the meet starting at 6 p.m.The Bearcat men are 0-5-1 overall and 0-4 in NWC dual meets, while Pacific's men are 1-5-1 overall and 0-4 in the NWC. Willamette's women are 0-6 overall, 0-4 in the NWC, while the Boxer women are 4-3 overall, 1-3 in the NWC.

Both Bearcat teams faced Pacific on Nov. 23, 2013, in a three-way non-conference meet that also included College of Idaho. In the men's competition, Willamette and Pacific tied 129.5 to 129.5. The women's matchup ended with Pacific defeating Willamette 177-80.

Erin Parkinson earned second place in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 200-yard breaststroke when Willamette faced Pacific in Forest Grove on Nov. 23.
