SALEM, Ore. -- Four members of the Willamette University women's track and field team have earned All-West Region honors as part of the Bearcats' distance medley relay team in indoor track. The All-Region athletes are Hannah Swanson (Jr., Seattle, WA/Roosevelt HS), Jewell Sparks (Jr., San Francisco, CA/Lick Wilmerding HS), Maura Forbush (Sr., Hollister, CA/San Benito HS) and Olivia Mancl (Sr./Jr., Seattle, WA/Roosevelt HS).

Swanson, Sparks, Forbush and Mancl completed the distance medley relay in 12:24.96 on the large track during the Husky Invitational at the Dempsey Indoor Facility, on February 10 in Seattle, Washington. The time converted to 12:32.94 on most collegiate indoor tracks. It was the only meet where the Bearcats competed in the event.

Willamette was the only West Region team to record a time in the distance medley relay. The top three relay teams in each region earned All-Region recognition as awarded by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
