SALEM, Ore. -- A total of 14 Willamette University athletes earned All-Northwest Conference honors for their efforts at the 2018 NWC Track and Field Championships on April 20-21 at Linfield College.

The All-NWC recognition went to athletes who placed in the top three of an individual event or participated on a relay team that finished in the top three. The Bearcats received 16 All-NWC selections overall, with two athletes attaining honors in two events.

Willamette Men's Track & Field All-NWC Honors:

Saige Swan (So., Crescent City, CA/Del Norte HS), Shot Put, 1st place, 49' 9.25" (15.17m), personal record

Michael Montague (So., San Diego, CA/Canyon Crest Academy), 3,000-meter steeplechase, 2nd place, 9:29.31, personal record; 5,000-meter run, 2nd place, 15:29.77

Keith Carlson (Jr., Bainbridge Island, WA/Bainbridge HS), 10,000-meter run, 2nd place, 31:51.99, personal record

Keaton Beckmann (Fr., Salem, OR/Sprague HS), Long Jump, 3rd place, 22' 6.25" (6.86m); 400-meter dash, 3rd place, 49.75, ran personal record of 49:60 in prelims

Riley Burton (Fr., Seattle, WA/Seattle Prep), 4 x 400-meter relay, 3rd place, 3:24.73

Connor Giannini (So., Veradale, WA/Gonzaga Prep), 4 x 400-meter relay, 3rd place, 3:24.73

Brian Peck (So., Reno, NV/Reno HS), 4 x 400-meter relay, 3rd place, 3:24.73

Jack Wellman (Sr., Alameda, CA/Alameda HS), 4 x 400-meter relay, 3rd place, 3:24.73
