Carr is Selected as NWC Women's Track Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University distance runner Hazel Carr (Sr., Seattle, WA/The Northwest School) has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Women's Track Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts at the John Knight Twilight in Monmouth, Oregon, on Friday, April 5. Carr won the women's 5,000-meter run while setting a personal record.

Carr's winning time was 18:23.40, as she reduced her previous top time by 37.35 seconds. She moved into third on this year's NWC performance list in the 5,000. In addition, Carr won the event by 56 seconds.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, April 13 at the Pacific Luau Invitational in Forest Grove, Oregon. The meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. (PDT).
