Pacific Lutheran University Invitational is Canceled Due to Weather

SPANAWAY, WASH. --The Pacific Lutheran University Invitational, scheduled to be hosted by PLU this weekend at Lake Spanaway Golf Course, has been canceled due to weather and the resulting course conditions. The tournament will not be rescheduled.

Willamette opened the fall season with a third place finish at the Pacific Fall Invitational at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, Ore.The Bearcats' top finisher was Elise Levy (So., Reno, NV/Bishop Manogue HS), who took 10th place.Taneesh Sra (So., Fremont, CA/Mission San Jose HS) and Mckenzie Weinhold (Jr., Placerville, CA/El Dorado HS/Univ. of Nevada-Reno), were two of four golfers tied for 12th.

Willamette's next scheduled competition is the Warner Pacific Open, set for Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Glendoveer Golf Course in Northeast Portland.

Junior Mckenzie Weinhold tied for 12th place at the Pacific Fall Invitational last weekend.
