SPOKANE, Wash. -- Action at the Northwest Conference Spring Classic in women's golf was suspended late in the first round on Saturday, April 7 due to lightning at Hangman Valley Golf Course. Several golfers completed all 18 holes, and all golfers were through at least 14 holes, when play was stopped. The first round will continue at 7:30 a.m. (PDT) on Sunday, April 8 with the second round to follow.

The NWC Spring Classic is one of three tournaments used to determine the overall NWC champion. The Spring Classic is worth one-fourth of the overall title and the NWC Fall Classic is worth one-fourth. The NWC Tournament, set for April 21-22, counts for one-half of the title.
