Towner Registers an 82 during First Round of Bulldog Classic

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- Lexi Towner (Jr., Chico, CA/Chico HS) of Willamette University carded an 82 and was tied for 26th place at the end of the first round of the Bulldog Classic, hosted by the University of Redlands (Calif.), on Saturday, Sept. 21 at The S Club. The tournament will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 22 with the final 18 holes.

Taylor Beckwith of Whittier College (Calif.) topped the individual standings with a 2-under-par 70. Hannah Jugar from Redlands was in second place at 1-under-par 71, and Andi Chaloult was third at even-par 72. Grace Lu from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.), Brooke Logdsdon from California Lutheran University, and Annie Hay from Redlands were tied for fourth at 74.

Meghan Hook (Fr., C, Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead HS) from Willamette shot 110.

Redlands was first in the team standings at 298. Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) owned second place at 304, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was third at 310. California Lutheran was just one stroke behind CMS, as the Regals shot 311.
