Patrick Daugherty is in his 10th year as the head coach of the women’s golf and men’s golf teams at Willamette University during the 2022-23 season. Daugherty previously served as the assistant men’s and women’s golf coach at Willamette for three seasons.

During 2019-20, women's golfers Lexi Towner and Kristen Barclay were senior leaders for the Bearcats. Towner won the individual title at the Pacific Spring Invitational, while Barclay placed third. Towner finished 11th at the NWC Fall Classic.

In his first season as head coach, Daugherty led the women's team to a fourth place overall finish in the Northwest Conference standings in 2013-14. Taneesh Sra was chosen First Team All-NWC in 2014-15. She earned Second Team All-NWC recognition in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

During the spring of 2021, Daugherty coached the Bearcat men's team to the Northwest Conference Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Bearcats tied for 11th place in the NCAA team standings, while Andrew Kibbee tied for 15th place in the individual standings. Kibbee was honored as a GCAA Third Team All-America selection. Kibbee, Davis, and Weirth were named NCAA Divison III All-West Region.

Daugherty also led the men's team to the NWC title and a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship in 2018-19. The Bearcats finished in 13th place at the NCAA Championship, as Davis took 24th place in the individual standings. Daugherty guided the men to second place in the NWC overall standings in 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17. WU placed third in the NWC in 2017-18.

In 2019-20, golfers Austin Davis and Alex Weirth were named to the NCAA Division III All-West Region.

Daugherty attended Western Oregon University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

He has been an employee at several golf courses in Oregon during his career. He worked in the golf shop at Salem Golf Club from 2012 through 2013. Previously, he gained experience at the Willow Lake Golf Center, the OGA Golf Course, and Illahe Hills Country Club. He worked in customer services at Willow Lake, was the director of player services and assistant golf professional at the OGA, and served as the outside service director and golf shop assistant at Illahe Hills.
