Summer Hoover is in her first full year as the assistant coach for the Willamette University women's golf and men's golf teams in 2022-23. She was hired in the spring of 2022. Prior to joining the Bearcats, she was a PGA teaching professional at nearby Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem for four years.

"I am super excited to be a part of this program, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds," Hoover said.

In high school, Hoover was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and golf. She played college golf at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, for two years.

Hoover has six years of combined coaching experience at the high school level in golf and basketball. She has coached golf at Salem Academy and Sprague High School. She coached girls' basketball for two years at Sprague.
