Manset Selected NWC Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University forward Emmy Manset (Sr., Ventura, CA/Foothill Technology HS) has been chosen Northwest Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her contributions to the Bearcats in wins over Whitworth University on Saturday, Oct. 14 and against Whitman College on Sunday, Oct. 15. The Bearcats shut out both opponents at Sparks Field, downing Whitworth 2-0 and Whitman 3-0.

Manset scored two goals and provided one assist in Willamette's win over Whitman. In the two games, she took a total of 13 shots, including seven shots on goal. Against Whitworth, she registered five shots and placed one shot on goal. Against Whitman, she earned eight shots with an impressive six shots on goal.

She has already tied a career high with seven goals this season and is tied with two other players for the NWC lead in goals scored. She also earned seven goals in 2016. During her Willamette career, she has produced 17 goals and one assist for 35 total points.

The Bearcats are 9-3-2 on the season and currently own fourth place in the NWC standings at 6-3-1 (19 points). Willamette will take on archrival Linfield College at Sparks Field on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. (PDT).
