
McMinnville, Ore. - Tessa Ciatti won the 200-yard Butterfly, 200-yard Breaststroke, and teamed with Anna Hornbeck, Leah Howell, and Alayna Kisiday to win the 400-yard Medley Relay in the team's final dual meet of the season at Linfield University.
Ciatti dominated each of her events, winning the butterfly in a time of 2:21.15 and the Breaststroke in 2:34.69. Teammate Sarah Jenner finished third in the 200-yard Breaststroke and also raced to third place in the 1650-yard Freestyle and swam the anchor leg of the second-place 400-yard Freestyle Relay. Jenner was followed in the 1650 by Elisa Michels and Ana Kaldy.
The other members of the winning Medley Relay team had strong individual swims throughout the meet as well. Kisiday took second place in the 100- and 200-yard Freestyle races, while Howell swam to fourth in the 50-yard Freestyle and fifth in the 100-yard Freestyle.
In the 500-yard Freestyle, Elisa Michels took third place and Ana Kaldy placed fifth, followed by Ella Carnell and Emilie Taylor. The Bearcats took second through fifth in the 200-yard Backstroke, led by Tatum Good and followed by Emma Noffsinger, Jillian Price, and Emma Schauble. Good placed third in the 200-yard Individual Medley and was followed there by teammates Ava Reich and Schauble.
Willamette took third through fifth in the 50-yard Freestyle, led by Lydia Schmitt in a time of 26.58. She was followed by Howell, Noffsinger, and Ella Isaacson. Jillian Price took third place in the 200-yard Freestyle with Jacqueline Hall taking fifth.
This was the final meet of the regular season for Willamette. Their next competition will be the Northwest Conference Championships in Federal Way, Washington, from February 13-16.
