NWC Match between Willamette and Lewis & Clark is Moved to April 4

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University tennis match against Lewis & Clark College, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 31, has been changed to Sunday, April 4 due to the weather and the availability of indoor courts. The Bearcats and the Pioneers will compete at the Courthouse Tennis Club (1379 Madison NE) on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. (PDT).

Willamette is 9-6 overall and 8-4 in the Northwest Conference. Lewis & Clark is 8-10 overall, 8-4 in the NWC. The Bearcats are tied with L&C for fourth place in the NWC standings. Willamette edged out Pioneers, 5-4, in Portland, Ore., on Feb. 28.

The #1 singles player for Willamette, Natalia Agarycheva (Jr., Vancouver, WA/Prairie HS/U. of Northern Colorado), is 12-2 on the season and is ranked #7 in the West Region. Agarycheva and Shannon Palmer (So., Salem, OR/Sprague HS) are 8-3 in doubles and are ranked #4 in the West Region.

Senior Alyssa Morrison has helped the Bearcats achieve a 9-6 overall record (8-4 NWC) so far this season.
