INDEPENDENCE, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's and women's cross country teams hosted the Oak Knoll Loop Run, a low-key meet, on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Oak Knoll Golf Course. Timed distances were 6 kilometers for the men and 4 kilometers for the women.

Participating in the meet were Willamette, Concordia University (Ore.), Lane Community College, Western Oregon University and the University of Oregon Running Club.

Willamette will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Northwest Clasic, hosted by Lane CC in Eugene, Ore. The action is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. (PDT).
