Men's and Women's Cross Country to Host Oak Knoll Loop Run on Saturday

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University will host the Oak Knoll Loop Run in cross country on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Oak Knoll Golf Course, located just west of the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 51 outside of West Salem. The meet will feature an 8-kilometer men's race at 9:30 a.m. PDT and an 6-kilometer men's race at 10:15 a.m.

Top finishers for Willamette in the men's race at the Linfield Harrier Classsic on Friday, Sept. 1 were Jay Chew (So., Elk Grove, CA/Laguna Creek HS), Adam Lewis (Fy., Glendale, CA/Eagle Rock HS), and Julien Trobaugh (Fy., St. Louis, MO/University City HS). Leading finshers for the WU women's team at the Harrier Classic were Zoe Heino (So., Portland, OR/Mountainside HS), Morgan Shaw (Fy., Redmond, OR/Ridgeview HS), and Anna Bikle (So., Woodside, CA/Half Moon Bay HS).

A total of eight women's team and eight men's teams will be competing at the Oak Knoll Loop Run, along with 16 unattached runners. In addition to Willamette, other colleges participating in both races are Corban University, George Fox University, Linfield University, the University of Portland, Portland State University, and Umpqua Community College. Competing in the women's race only will be Oregon State University, while Clackamas Community College will only be running in the men's race.
