Men's Golf Claims Championship Title at Pacific Lutheran Invitational
TACOMA, Wash. – The Willamette University Men's Golf team captured the championship title at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational, held at Canterwood Golf and Country Club.
The Bearcats secured the victory with a combined Total Gross score of 576, finishing Even (E) with respect to par for the tournament. Willamette's consistent play across both rounds—a 292 in Round 1 and a tournament-low 284 in Round 2—was enough to narrowly edge out the host Pacific Lutheran, which finished just two strokes back at 578(+2). The third-place team was Bellevue, with a score of 588(+12).
Bearcats Dominate Individual Leaderboard
The individual competition saw strong representation from the Bearcats near the top of the leaderboard, though the overall individual champion was Soren Bostrom of PLU (−5).
