SALEM, Ore. — Willamette University and Pacific Lutheran University battled to a 3-3 draw on Saturday at Sparks Field. The Bearcats held a lead into the second half with two goals, but the Lutes responded with a late equalizer. Both teams recorded three penalties, and Willamette's goalie made two crucial saves in the second half to maintain the draw.
Lorenzo Trejo De Dios contributed significantly with one goal and one assist, recording three points and two shots on goal. Rory McKee capitalized on his sole shot attempt, scoring one goal and finishing with two points. Ky Iliev added a goal from four shots, with three of those being on target. Brenden Pineda provided key playmaking by recording two assists, helping to set up scoring opportunities.
The Bearcats hold a record of 1-4-4 overall and 1-1-3 in conference play. PLU stands at 4-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play.
