SALEM, Ore. -- Eleven Willamette University student-athletes earned All-Northwest Conference honors a total of 15 times during the 2019 NWC Track and Field Championships on April 26-27 at Pacific Lutheran University.
The All-NWC recognition went to athletes who placed in the top three of an individual event or participated on a relay team that finished in the top three.
Included among Willamette's All-NWC recipients are three 2019 NWC Champions. They are Keith Carlson (Sr., Bainbridge Island, WA/Bainbridge HS) in the men's 5,000-meter run, Hope Duenas (Jr., Covina, CA/Covina HS) in the women's discus throw, and Michael Montague (Jr., San Diego, CA/Canyon Crest Academy) in the men's 1,500-meter run. Keaton Beckmann (So., Salem, OR/Sprague HS) earned All-NWC honors three times, by placing second in the men's long jump and finishing third in the men's javelin throw and the men's 4 x 400-meter relay.
