SALEM, Ore. -- As we return to athletic competition this fall, Willamette University has updated its spectator policies for home athletic events. The following goes into effect on Wednesday, September 1.

  • Everyone ages 12 and older will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated to enter Sparks Field (soccer), McCulloch Stadium (football), or the Sparks Athletic Center (volleyball). A photo of your card is acceptable, but all information must be visible in the photo. A person is considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks after receipt of the second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) or at least two weeks after receipt of the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

  • Because of Willamette University's vaccination requirement for students and staff, members of the Willamette community can show their ID card for entrance into the venues listed above.

  • Masks must be worn at all times by spectators over the age of 5, unless actively eating or drinking.

Tickets

Willamette will not be charging admission to any athletic events during the 2021-22 academic year. Seating in all venues will be general admission, with areas clearly marked for visiting teams.

Concessions

Food and drink will not be sold in any athletic venues through at least the end of September. Guests will be allowed to bring their own items, but coolers, alcoholic beverages, and glass containers are prohibited.
