Seven Student-Athletes Receive Honors and Awards from Student Affairs

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University Division of Student Affairs announced its annual Honors and Awards last week, and seven Bearcats competing in athletics were among the recipients. Student-Athletes receiving honors were Terry Sherman (Jr., W, Lake Charles, LA/St. Louis Catholic HS) from men's basketball and football, Mashani Coleman Toliver (So., Bellevue, WA/Sammamish HS) from women's track and field, Nolan Wright (Fy., Fall City, WA/Mount Si HS) men's track and field, Kaiona Apio (Sr., Edmonds, WA/Edmonds-Woodway HS) from women's track and field, Ashley Collins (Sr., P, Chino Hills, CA/Chino Hills HS) from women's basketball, Mia Lund (Sr., OF/UT, Omaha, NE/Westside HS) from softball, and Milo Greenberg (Jr., Seattle, WA/The Northwest School) from men's cross country. 

Sherman received the Community Engagement Student Award.

Coleman Toliver earned the Seeds of Change Award.

Wright was chosen for the Social Justice Leadership Award.

Apio earned the Student Leadership Award of Excellence and received a Senior Key.

Collins was selected for a Senior Certificate.

Lund also received a Senior Certificate.

Greenberg was chosen for a Senior Key.

Senior Certificates are presented to members of the senior class who have contributed "Service to the Associated Students." Recipients are selected based on their time and effort spent in the name of Willamette, the diversity of their activities, and their impact on other students.

Senior Keys are earned by outstanding members of the senior class who stand out for their meritorious service to the Associated Students of Willamette University (ASWU). These are leaders of multiple clubs and are broadly recognized by the student body for their work.
