Keaton Adams is Chosen on Special Teams for D3football.com Team of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Keaton Adams (Sr., DE, Colorado Springs, CO/Doherty HS) from the Willamette University football team has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on special teams for his efforts in Willamette's game against Lincoln University (Calif.) on Sept. 18 at McCulloch Stadium.

Adams blocked a field goal and also blocked an extra point by the Oaklanders. He blocked a 39-yard field goal with 1:10 left in the first half. In the third quarter, he blocked an extra point, recovered the ball, and returned it 90 yards for a defensive two-point conversion. In addition, he registered seven tackles on defense with 3.0 tackles for losses of 25 yards, including 1.5 quarterback sacks for 16 yards in losses.

For the season, Adams leads the Bearcats with 15 total tackles. He has registered 7.5 tackles for losses of 49 yards and four quarterback sacks for 37 yards lost. He scored a touchdown on a 41-yard fumble recovery return in Willamette's 48-35 win over the University of Puget Sound in the season opener on Sept. 4.

Willamette will take on Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) on Saturday, Sept. 25 in Claremont, California. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
