Recent Willamette University graduate Aidan Kuykendall, who was a quarterback for the Bearcats from 2019 through 2022, is in his first season as WU's quarterback coach in 2023. Kuykendall played in 23 games for the Bearcats, but missed 2020-21 when Willamette did not play football due to COVID-19.

During his Willamette career, Kuykendall completed 222 of 531 passes (51.5%) for 2,612 yards and 24 touchdowns. His longest pass covered 72 yards in 2022. He also carried the ball 150 times for 308 career rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

Kuykendall received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Willamette in 2022. He is working toward an MBA degree at WU's Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
