Boydell Provides 15 Points, but Bearcats Fall in Canada to Langara College

VANCOUVER, B.C., Canada -- Jack Boydell (Sr., F, Sonoma, CA/Sonoma Valley HS) from Willamette University scored a team-high 15 points on Saturday, Oct. 15, but the Bearcats lost to Langara College, 117- 85, in the second game of their international exhibition tour in Canada. Willamette split its two-game trip with a 98-86 win at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C., on Friday evening followed by Saturday's early afternoon game at Langara.

Boydell was one of three Willamette players in double figures against the Falcons. Joining him were Ryder Hsiung (So., G, Honolulu, HI/Punahou School) with 14 points and Terry Sherman (So., F, Lake Charles, LA/St. Louis Catholic HS) with 11 points.

Overall individual and team statistics were not immediately available.

After returning from Canada, the Bearcats will play exhibition games at Corban University on Monday, Oct. 31 and at Bushnell University on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Bearcats will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 11 at Cone Field House against Portland Bible College. Game time in Salem, Oregon, is set for 8 p.m. (PST).
