SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's tennis match against Linfield College on Saturday, March 21, will start one hour earlier than originally scheduled as the teams try to play on outdoor courts and avoid bad weather. The new match time is 12 p.m. (PDT) on the Linfield campus.

Willamette enters the match with a 5-5 overall record, all against Northwest Conference opponents. Linfield is 8-4 overall, including 8-3 in the NWC.

When the teams met on Feb. 21 at the Courthouse Tennis Club in Salem, Ore., Linfield won 6-3. The Wildcats defeated the Bearcats in two of three doubles matches -- with all three decided by 8-6 scores. Linfield also gained an advantage in close matches in singles, as the Wildcats prevailed in two of three matches that were decided in a third set.
